Disability and NDIS Support

At Central Psychology Services, we are able to support people under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) who are Plan-Managed or Self-Managed.

We have psychologists interested in working with people who are ‘neurodivergent’, including people on the Autism Spectrum.

We also have experience helping people cope, adapt and thrive with physical limitations, illnesses and injuries.

Our practice is fully wheelchair accessible. We also offer telehealth appointments to individuals that aren’t able to make it into our clinic.

Why work with a psychologist?

A psychology appointment gives people a safe place to be completely honest about their struggles without any worry about burdening anyone. And regardless of the challenges that someone might have have, we can help you find a way to live an authentic, value-driven life. Psychologists can help people adapt to changes and build resilience in the face of adversity, through changing thoughts, behaviours and how we cope with emotions.

The NDIS gives people an opportunity to work with a psychologist, without paying out of pocket - so they can get the support they need to continue living a rich and fulfilling life.

  • At this stage, unfortunately CPS can only offer services through the NDIS to people who are Self-Managed or Plan Managed. We hope our organisation is able to offer this in the future. Please contact us if you would like to stay in touch for updates.

  • Yes! The NDIS is only one way you can access a psychologist.

If you’re not on the NDIS, we would recommend speaking to your GP and asking for a ‘Mental Health Care Plan’ referral. This will allow you to access up to 10 Medicare subsidized psychology sessions per calendar year.

If you have private health, you may wish to ask your fund if your plan covers a rebate for psychology services.

We also offer support to people under Return to Work SA, the Department of Veteran Affairs, and Motor Vehicle Accident insurance.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
